KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has acquired Klostermann Aufzüge, a German company providing elevator maintenance and modernization services. Klostermann Aufzüge is based in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, and was founded in 1977. The company currently has around 1,300 elevators in service and employs approximately 40 people.
"Klostermann Aufzüge has established itself as a trusted service provider and we are eager to continue their work in Germany" says Axel Berkling, Managing Director, KONE Germany. "The coming together of KONE and Klostermann Aufzüge is a natural fit allowing us to consolidate our position in the market and to be closer to our customers".
